Literary Magazine The Daesan Culture
The foundation publishes the literary quarterly magazine ¡°The Daesan Culture¡± in order to provide various news and opinions about Korean literature and share more widely the results of our projects. The magazine includes timely features, various serial stories by outstanding writers, cultural content – including poetry, novels and children's literature – that can satisfy the demands of our readers, and introductions of the foundation's major activities.
The magazine's yearly special features, including ¡°Dissecting Literature Textbooks,¡± ¡°Our Generation's Taboos,¡± ¡°Things Forced on Our Generation¡± and ¡°Our Generation's Havens,¡± have taken a deep look at some of this age's pending issues. The timely ¡°My Father,¡± which ran this year on the centennial of the births of novelist Oh Yeong-su, poet Kim Gwang-gyun and poet∙translator∙essayist Jang Man-yeong, collected anecdotes about the writers told by their children. ¡°Daesan's Reserved Seat¡± examined the lives of veteran literary figures such as poet Sin Dal-ja, novelists Yun Hu-myeong and Yi Mun-yeol, and literary critic Kim Ju-yeon. The magazine is also providing to readers helpful knowledge on the humanities through new columns such as ¡°Early Modern Art,¡± ¡°21st Sintaengniji¡± and ¡°Re-reading Our Anthologies.¡±
